OPP investigate another suspicious fire in Norfolk County

Another suspicious structure fire has been reported in Norfolk County, this time in Port Rowan.

At around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday Norfolk County OPP officers and the Norfolk County Fire Department responded to the fire on 1st Concession Road.

Police say the building was an unoccupied residence. No injuries were reported.

The Norfolk OPP Crime Unit is treating the fire as suspicious and is actively investigating the blaze.

Unexplained fires in the Norfolk area started on Nov. 12 and have utilized the resources of Norfolk OPP officers and Norfolk County fire and paramedic services.

Property damages so far are estimated to be over $1.5 million.

Police are asking residents in the area to check their home surveillance systems for any footage that may assist the investigation.
