Lambton Shores Announces New Fire Chief

The Municipality of Lambton Shores

The Municipality of Lambton Shores is pleased to announce the appointment of James Marshall as their new Fire Chief and will officially welcome him to Lambton Shores on October 30, 2023.

With over 18 years of dedicated emergency services experience, including seven years in recent leadership roles, Marshall brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience to the Lambton Shores Fire and Emergency Services.

Marshall is joining the Municipality from the Township of Perth East and the Municipality of West Perth, where he has served under a shared service agreement as the Deputy Station Chief and Fire Prevention/Investigation Officer. Prior to that, he has held other leadership positions in the fire service with the City of London, Municipality of Morris-Turnberry, and Municipality of Meaford.

“With extensive experience in emergency services, coupled with his proven leadership capabilities, I am confident James is well equipped to lead our fire and emergency services into the future,” said Stephen McAuley, Chief Administrative Officer. “We eagerly anticipate the positive impact he will have in his new role and look forward to introducing him to our team of dedicated on-call firefighters.”

As Fire Chief, Marshall will oversee all aspects of fire and emergency services within the Municipality. This includes providing leadership for approximately 100 on-call firefighters across five fire stations and providing strategic direction to ensure emergency and fire services continue to meet the needs of the Municipality into the future.

“I am excited to have this opportunity and look forward to serving the Lambton Shores community in this role,” said James Marshall. “As someone looking in from the outside, residents should be proud of their fire department and the team of firefighters that make it what it is. I look forward to joining an already great team and continue to work on further enhancing the capabilities of our fire department.”
