The Petrolia and North Enniskillen Fire Department responded to a house fire late Friday afternoon.
The fire department was called to a home on Prince Street in Marthaville, with assistance from the Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department.
Firefighters said the wind driven fire did cause significant damage but they were able to save the home and a couple of garages.
Information surrounding any injuries, damage estimate and cause was not immediately available.
