Smiths Falls Fire Chief Rick Chesebrough had a brief update regarding an ongoing arson investigation.
They’ve played their role in the matter and after the June 9th fire at a residence on Smiths Falls Avenue was deemed suspicious, handed things over to the police and Ontario Fire Marshal’s office.
Chesebrough confirmed a plan’s in place to handle the fallout of the fire after-the-fact.
Police are asking for any video footage you have of the area around Smiths Falls Avenue that could help their investigation.
Video footage between the hours of 2am-6am for June 9th is requested from the following areas of interest:
- Rideau Avenue
- Alice Street
- Chambers Street (between Winnifred/Jubilee)
- Lorne Street Lila Street
- Parkland Court First Street
- Thomas Street Second Street
- Robina Avenue Third Street
- King Street Fourth Street
- Empress Street Fifth Street
- Sussex Street
