More than a dozen community leaders to speak Feb. 15, including Gravenhurst Fire Chief Jared Cayley

More than a dozen community leaders are coming together to help kick off the 2024 Gravenhurst Winter Carnival.
Ignite Gravenhurst, a popular speaker series that began more than a decade ago, is a series of presentations designed to enlighten, inspire, and engage audiences.
The event is slated for Thursday, Feb. 15 at the Gravenhurst Opera House, starting at 5 p.m.
Some of the feature speakers for the evening will be Gravenhurst fire Chief Jared Cayley, Sarah Hiscox of Gravenhurst Against Poverty/Coldest Night of the Year, Scott Davidson from Bethune House and Carol-Ann Chapman of Trinity United Church.
Autumn Smith of TimberBeast Productions will act as MC and will be a guest speaker. The evening will wrap up with motivational speaker Brady Leavold of Puck Support and Muskoka Hockey.
The speaker’s series will begin at 6 p.m. and will include greeting from Gravenhurst Mayor Heidi Lorenz.
The entrance fee is the purchase of a carnival button and there is a registration form to fill out online at this Google Docs address.
