Reporting to the Fire Chief, the Deputy Fire Chief is responsible for assisting with the management of the operations of the municipal fire service in order to serve and protect the public and to enforce provincial legislation within the Municipality.
In this role you will be focused on:
- Assisting with the management of Fire Service operations including administration, leadership and discipline in accordance with the FPPA
- Assist with the organization and planning of resources to ensure effective fire protection coverage Municipality
- Reviewing and maintaining the Emergency Response Plan for the Municipality
- Reporting to and assuming command at emergency incidents when necessary
