Event Bursaries sponsored by Medallion Insurance
What is the Event Bursary?
The OAFC in partnership with Medallion Insurance will be awarding TWO event bursaries for the OAFC Conference and Trade Show and TWO event bursaries for the OAFC Annual General Meeting. The intent of the bursaries is to provide access to the event’s important educational content and trade show (if applicable) for two attendees whose fire departments would not be able to normally send them.
The bursary covers the following expenses:
- Registration for the entire conference (including pre event workshops, networking events, etc.)
- Accommodations for the duration of the conference (check in the night prior, check out the final day of the event)
- Up to $500 for travel expenses
Who can apply?
The event bursaries are open to both members and non-members of the OAFC. You must be an active chief fire officer for a fire department within Ontario.
An applicant is only eligible to receive up to 1 bursary per calendar year.
If you are chosen as a bursary winner you have the choice to remain anonymous, this meaning only the OAFC Board of Directors and Medallion Insurance would know that you won the bursary. Your name would not be included in any communications post event.
How to apply?
Applications for the TWO event bursaries for the OAFC Conference and Trade Show will be opening January 29, 2025 and closing March 12, 2025 at 4:30pm EST. The two chosen bursary winners will be contacted the week of March 17, 2025.
Applications for the TWO event bursaries for the OAFC Annual General Meeting will open in August 2025.
