The city of Regina has been chosen to host the 2028 Can-Am Police-Fire Games following a successful bid and selection process.
The Can-Am Police Fire Games celebrates the dedication and expertise of those who serve their communities, with competitors including professionals from fire and rescue, law enforcement, emergency medical services, border patrol, corrections officers, and other first responders, the city reported in a press statement.
“We’re excited to showcase our exceptional firefighters in the Regina Can-Am Police-Fire Games in 2028,” said Layne Jackson, fire chief for the city of Regina in a media release. “This is a great opportunity for athletes from the emergency and protective services in Regina to enjoy camaraderie, fitness, and friendly competition.”
The games will be held across various venues across the city and will feature events including angling, cross-country running, cycling, and the Toughest Competitor Alive and Toughest Firefighter Alive competitions.
The 2024 competition, which was held in Butler County, Pa., concluded on July 21.
