No injuries were reported after Brampton firefighters doused a residential blaze late Thursday evening.

According to Brampton Fire and Emergency Services, crews were dispatched to a residential structure fire in the area of Dixie and Mayfield roads.

In an online post just before midnight on Sept. 12, the fire service said that the blaze had been “knocked down” and that firefighters had completed primary searches.

A half-hour later, in a second online post, Brampton fire officials said that the fire was under control and that fire trucks were being released from the scene.

No injuries were reported and the fire department said it would be notifying the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office to assist with an investigation into the blaze.
