Town of Lincoln secures provincial funding to enhance fire protection

Town of Lincoln

The Town of Lincoln is pleased to announce that it has received $32,921 in funding through Ontario’s Fire Protection Grant to strengthen firefighter safety and emergency response capabilities. This investment will support key fire protection enhancements, including advanced decontamination equipment and additional personal protective equipment (PPE) to better protect Lincoln’s firefighters on the job.

This initiative aligns with the Town’s strategic priority of fostering a healthy and safe community by ensuring firefighters have the necessary tools and equipment to reduce exposure to hazardous materials. The funding will support the acquisition of advanced decontamination and drying equipment, as well as additional PPE, such as helmets and bunker gear, to enhance firefighter capabilities and improve emergency preparation.

By upgrading our gear and equipment, we are dedicated to reducing health and safety risks for Lincoln firefighters, providing them with the best possible protection to safely serve our community.
