The fire comes two years after a suspected arson that destroyed a vacant home on the same property on Jan. 26, 2018.

At that time, fire spokesperson Claudio Mostacci told The Spectator the fire was contained to one building and no one was injured.

Deputy Fire Chief John Verbeek said firefighters initiated an "exterior attack" on the burning building but due to the severity of the blaze however the fire was well involved and was advancing quickly through the entire length of the building.

Photos taken at the scene showed a partially collapsed building engulfed in flames.

The farm at the address has several large barn structures, silos and a home, according to Google Maps. A second barn structure in close proximity to the involved barn also became involved in fire and firefighters were successful in stopping the spread of fire inside that structure.

By 6:30 p.m., the fire department had stopped the fire from spreading and were working to put out hot spots. Verbeek said firefighters would likely remain on scene for a while.

There was no reported injuries and the dollar loss will be extensive due to the number of boats inside. The cause has not been determined. The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office has been notified.
