The Municipality of East Ferris is seeking to hire a By-Law Enforcement/Fire Prevention Officer.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and must have the physical conditioning and ability to perform the tasks associated with the duties of the position.
This position serves a dual role. As By-Law Enforcement Officer, the successful candidate is responsible for the enforcement of all Municipal by-laws, program initiatives, investigations, and handling violations. The Fire Prevention Officer is responsible for the safe and effective coordination, planning and support of all fire prevention programming, delivery of inspections and public fire and life safety education. Both positions conduct investigations to ensure conformity with government legislation and Municipal by-laws.
The Township of Norwich is seeking applications for the position of a Fire Services Training Officer. This position will report directly to the Township of Norwich, Director of Fire and Protective Services (Fire Chief) and indirectly to the Rural Fire Services of Oxford County (RFSOC) Fire Chiefs. The Fire Services Training Officer will coordinate and deliver all mandatory and non-mandatory volunteer firefighter training programs as directed by the RFSOC Fire Chiefs in accordance with the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) guidelines and procedures, and National Fire Protection Association Standards (NFPA). The Training Officer will be responsible for the overall development, delivery, budgeting and invoicing, record keeping and safety of firefighters for all RFSOC training programs.
