GRAVENHURST — The Gravenhurst Fire Department is continuing to monitor a July 7 brush fire, according to a tweet Sunday, July 8 morning.
The Gravenhurst Fire Department tweeted at 9:43 a.m., Sunday, July 8, stating two crews are performing proactive work in the area of Highway 169 near Sunshine Court in west Gravenhurst monitoring hot spots following a "sizeable brush/grass fire" that took place on Saturday afternoon, July 7.
The fire department reports there remains a great deal of truck activity in the area and asks the public to exercise caution in the area and to give fire vehicles a wide berth.
