No one was hurt Wednesday afternoon in North Bay when a food delivery truck caught fire in a grocery store parking lot on Trout Lake Road.
"At 12:30 this afternoon, firefighters from Station 1 and Station 2 responded to a report of a truck on fire, Deputy Fire Chief Greg Saunders told CTV Northern Ontario in an email.
"The cab of a food delivery truck was completely on fire at the rear of the building. Firefighters did an exceptional job getting the fire quickly under control, but a nearby home suffered some damaged siding from the heat generated by the blaze."
Saunders said the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
"The health unit was notified and attended to make certain that everything is safe as some smoke had migrated into the structure," he said.
"The grocery store is currently closed but expected to reopen later today."
