Northumberland OPP has revised its statement on a weekend fire in Hamilton Township, saying Tuesday the incident is now under investigation.
Early Saturday, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Hamilton Township fire department, emergency medical services and Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a residential fire on Leach Road in Hamilton Township.
The home sustained substantial damage and police confirmed nobody was injured as a result. The Office of the Fire Marshal is continuing with its investigation and, as a result of the initial findings, the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit is also investigating.
Police will continue to hold the scene.
