The Ontario Fire Marshal is investigating after a fire at a home on the real estate market in Hamilton Township.
Just after 12 a.m. Saturday morning, Hamilton Township Fire, with assistance from Alnwick-Haldimand crews, began battling a blaze at 3,300 Leach Road, just north of Baltimore in Northumberland County.
Fire Chief Michael Robinson says they battled the blaze for several hours, finally knocking down the flames around 3 a.m..
The home is on 40 acres, with the property up for sale, with an asking price of $1.5 million.
Northumberland County OPP, Hamilton Township Fire, and the OFM are investigating.
No injuries have been reported.
