George "Duke" Lowe
(Retired Deputy Chief of Bradford Fire Department) Peacefully passed away at home with family at his side on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. George Lowe of Bradford at 82 years of age. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Benton). Loving father of Diana (Leonard) Skwarchuk, Donna (Dominic) Ferragina, Roger (Meredith) Lowe and Randy Lowe. Proud grandpa of Carrie (Dean) Wood, Sam (Brieh) Skwarchuk; Michael and Alex Ferragina; Lauren and Tori Lowe; and Victoria Lowe. Dear great grandpa of Abbie Wood; Avery, Iyla and Charlie Skwarchuk. Predeceased by his siblings Dorothy Corneau, Clara Boutilier, Betty Wanamaker; Charlie, Jack, Harvey and Roy Storey. Friends may call at SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, Bradford for visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service held in the Chapel on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 2 p.m. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bradford. In George’s memory, donations may be made to the Lung Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Crohns and Colitis Foundation of Canada.
