Deputy Fire Chief Ron Sparks Announces Retirement



Deputy Fire Chief Ron Sparks has announced he will be retiring from Peterborough Fire Services effective August 31, 2012.

Ron has served the residents of Peterborough as a Police Constable, Firefighter, Chief Training Officer, Deputy Fire Chief as well as Acting Fire Chief during his more than 31 years with the City of Peterborough.

“Ron has served the residents of Peterborough for more than 31 years in various capacities and he is an extremely valued member of Peterborough Fire Services.” said Fire Chief Doug Tennant. “His personable demeanour and efficient efforts in making our community safe from fire will be greatly missed by everyone here at Peterborough Fire Services. We wish Ron a very happy and enjoyable retirement from his successful career.”
