Stratford’s fire chief has announced his plans for retirement after 34 years of service.

April 7, 2014 Central Huron’s Fire Chief is retiring at the end of this month. Steve Cooke has been a fire fighter in Clinton and Central Huron for 32 years.

Despite our best hopes we knew at some point this day would come. This morning, Barry Malmsten, Executive Director of the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs informed the Board of Directors that he will be retiring effective November 30, 2012.
