Fatal fire in Northumberland County

Northumberland OPP are investigating a fatal fire at a residence in Cramahe Township.

Police, fire and paramedic services responded to a residential fire around 7:30 Sunday morning.

An 85-year-old male from Cramahe was found deceased in the residence.

Police do not believe the fire to be suspicious at this time, however, the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit in conjunction with OPP Forensic Identification Services (IDENT), the Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) and the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario continue to investigate the incident.
