Peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at Lee Manor Nursing Home in Owen Sound, on Friday evening, April 13th, 2018. Gordon Stewart Woods, of Owen Sound, at the age of 81 years. Dearly loved husband of Ruth Connolly Woods (nee Trask) and the late Audrey Woods (nee Hesch). Loving father of Carrie Woods, of Kitchener, Kathy MacLeod and her husband, Bill, of Hamilton, Rosanne Woods and her husband, Roger Orde, of Kitchener, Leanne Paddon and her husband, Steve, of Owen Sound and stepfather of Michele Fritzsch and her husband, Tim, of Owen Sound and Greg Connolly and his wife, Lisa, of Innisfil. Proud grandfather of Andrea (Chris), Keith (Laura), Danielle (Dave), Taylor (Joey), Matthew, James, Michael; great-grandfather of Mackenzie and Jack; step-grandfather of Shelby, Devin and Drew. Predeceased by his parents, Arthur Woods and Mary Wilson; his son, Garry Woods (2011); his sister, Kathleen Weber. Gord proudly served with the Owen Sound Fire Department for 30 years, the last 12 years as Fire Chief.

Firefighters visitation is on Thursday, April 19 from 6:15pm to 7:00pm. Funeral service Friday, April 20 at 11:00. There will be an honour guard and a get together at the Legion following the funeral service.
