The Redditt Volunteer Fire Department has a new Fire Chief. Thomas Choong takes over for former chief Glen Bowes, who stepped down earlier this year.
Choong moved to Kenora last year, and has spent 9 of his past 12 years teaching in remote northern communities. He also created Ambush Boxing, a boxing program for youth in Bearskin Lake.
Bowes had been the Fire Chief for Redditt for over 20 years.
