The Township of South-West Oxford is pleased to announce that Shane Caskanette will join the municipality as Fire Chief and Community Emergency Management Coordinator (CEMC), effective January 6, 2025.
Shane Caskanette is a highly respected leader with over 30 years of combined experience in fire services, fire service education, and senior management. He has held key roles in Richmond Hill, the City of Oshawa, the City of Brantford, and most recently, the Town of Tillsonburg.
"On behalf of Township Council, I am proud to welcome Shane Caskanette as South-West Oxford Township's new Fire Chief and CEMC," said Mayor David Mayberry.
“Shane brings a wealth of experience and a forward-thinking approach that will be invaluable as we plan for the future of South-West Oxford Fire Rescue Services,” said Mary Ellen Greb, the Township’s Chief Administrative Officer.
