Residents are invited to enjoy the dazzling lights of Oakville’s Coronation Park while supporting a good cause by participating in the Oakville Firefighters’ Drive-Thru Toy Drive on Friday, Dec. 13.

The Town of Oakville, in partnership with the Oakville Professional Firefighters Association (OPFFA), will host the toy drive from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Those who attend can drive through Coronation Park, enjoy the festive lights, and drop off an unwrapped toy donation or gift card.

All donations will go to local families and children in need.

The event will feature special appearances from visual performers, Sparky the Fire Dog, members of the OPFFA, and Santa.

Residents are reminded this is a drive-thru event only, and for safety reasons, pedestrians will not be permitted to walk through the toy donation event.

Attendees must remain in their vehicles at all times.

Also, no vehicles will be permitted to stop with the exception to drop off letters to Santa and/or make their toy, food or gift card donation.

Event attendees are asked to approach Coronation Park travelling eastbound on Lakeshore Road from Bronte Road or Third Line.

Residents are asked to be patient as there may be some traffic delays in the area.

Road closures will be in effect on Westminster Drive south of Trenton Road, and there will be local access only on Belvedere Drive and Hamlet Common at Lakeshore Road, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
