This week’s Kapuskasing history feature is two pieces of good news from the Northern Times issue of February 7th, 1962.
One is a front page photo of a Knights of Columbus donation to the hospital of $800.00. It was intended to furnish a room in the renovated section of the hospital.
The other piece of good news comes from the fire department. It received honourable mention in a national fire prevention contest, and was second in Ontario.
Fire Chief Omer Poulin had a long list of people and organizations to thank for their help.
