Fire officials say there are two active wildland fires in the northeast fire region of Ontario.
- Sudbury 2 (SUD002) was confirmed this afternoon and is not under control. This 8-hectare fire is located approximately 3 kilometres northwest of Bannagan Lake.
- Pembroke 1 (PEM001) was confirmed this afternoon and is not under control. This 5.7 hectare fire is located approximately 2 kilometres northwest of Hales Lake.
Meanwhile, the fire hazard is low to moderate across the Northeast region.
