A couple of local volunteer fire departments are getting funding to purchase new equipment.
Former TV personality Jenny Jones is handing out a total of 50 thousand dollars in her Jenny's Heroes campaign.
Both the Pellatt United Fire Department and the Redditt Fire Hall will be receiving funding this year.
Pellatt will use its nine thousand dollar grant to purchase a new high capacity water pump.
The Redditt Fire department has been promised 25 hundred dollars to purchase a DVD player and a TV for training as well as a computer and printer.
Other communities in the region to receive funding include Wabigoon and Nolalu Emergency Services.
