Warrior Health free resource now live online

A new, free mental health initiative for public safety personnel is now available at https://warriorhealth.ca/en.

This confidential resource offers anytime access to information on trauma and operational stress tailored specifically to those public safety personnel who are trauma exposed, civilian or uniformed, in Ontario.

Warrior Health is a is a consortium driven effort led by its chief operating officer Matthew Pegg, who is Toronto’s former fire chief. The initiative was created under the MHS4PSP program in partnership with Ontario’s Ministry of the Solicitor General. The consortium includes industry leaders Wounded Warriors Canada, Homewood Health, CAMH, Trillium Health Partners and Boots on the Ground.

With Pegg at the helm, Warrior Health was fully implemented in six months and is now ready to offer a wealth of much needed resources to individuals, families and organizations.

“The Warrior Health initiative prioritizes mental health and resilience supports and resources for Ontario’s more than 80,000 public safety personnel and their families,” said Pegg. “I am beyond excited to see these important resources and supports go live this week. It is both an honour and a privilege to lead this important work and to work alongside this team of dedicated professionals in making Warrior Health a reality.”
