LaSalle police, Fire, and EMS members were recognized for their life-saving efforts after a resident experienced a medical crisis in April.
Emergency services were called to a home for an unresponsive female on April 7.
Police officers and firefighters arrived on scene and continued life saving measures until EMS arrived.LaSalle Police Service recognized Const. Bear and Const. Bedard with the Act of Heroism Award at the council meeting on Tuesday night. It honours individuals who displayed outstanding service, leadership, or professionalism during emergencies or critical incidents.
Members of the LaSalle Fire Service and EMS were also honoured with the Act of Heroism Award.
Cheryl and Steven Saunders were recognized with the Act of Heroism Award for their acts in a time of personal crisis that made a significant impact.
LaSalle police also acknowledged Sgt. Pare, Const. Hanna, and Const. Assef, who earned the Mayor’s Commendation Award for their actions that contributed to life safety.
Town officials say collective effort from all services and personnel working together makes a difference in saving lives.
