Two people have been rescued by firefighters responding to a residential fire in Oshawa on Tuesday morning.

According to the Oshawa fire department, crews were dispatched to a Bruce Street address on June 25 for a “residential structure fire.”

“Two occupants have been rescued by fire crews,” said the fire department in an online post around 7:20 a.m.

Firefighters remain at the scene, added the department.

That call comes on the heels of another early morning call on Tuesday that saw firefighters douse a “structure fire” in the area of King and Centre streets.

Officials from the Oshawa fire department could not immediately be reached for further information on the calls.
