Cambridge Fire Department worked quickly to extinguish a blaze that displaced six people and six pets in east Galt.
Five stations battled the flames on Richards Avenue, which extended into the home after originating outside, said chief fire prevention officer Eric Yates.
There were no injuries, and all the pets were rescued from the home. The fire isn’t considered suspicious, Yates said.
The estimated damage is approximately $200,000.
