Niagara West Fire and Emergency Services honours 2022 provincial and federal service award recipients in Lincoln

Lincoln, ON – (November 13, 2023) – Niagara West Fire and Emergency Services (NWFES) proudly recognizes the outstanding dedication and commitment of its 2022 Provincial and Federal Service Award Recipients in the Town of Lincoln. Two recognition events celebrating the remarkable service and sacrifice of our firefighters took place on November 7 and November 9, 2023, at Station 64, located in Jordan Station.

"The exceptional service and dedication of our firefighters are an inspiration to us all,” said Town of Lincoln Mayor Sandra Easton. “Their unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our community is truly commendable.”

The 2022 Provincial and Federal Award Recipients represent a shining example of dedicated service to their community. Each of them has devoted a substantial portion of their lives to ensure the safety and well-being of others. NWFES is proud to honour the following firefighters in the Town of Lincoln for their unwavering commitment:

  • Jacob Bijakowski – 20 Years
  • Mike Davies – Barlow – 20 Years
  • Martin Earley – 20 Years
  • Curtis Fielding – 20 Years
  • David Gladysz – 20 Years
  • David Keracher – 20 Years
  • Jean-Pierre Labelle – 20 Years
  • Dan Michels – 20 Years
  • Joe Snihur – 20 Years
  • Christopher Unrau – 20 Years

"These firefighters have displayed unparalleled courage and dedication in their roles, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community and upholding the values of public service," stated Lincoln’s Chief Administrative Officer Michael Kirkopoulos.

"Each of our 2022 Provincial and Federal Award Recipients is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our firefighters,” said Niagara West Fire and Emergency Services Chief Hudson. “They are the true heroes who ensure the safety and well-being of our community. We are immensely proud of their service and commitment.”
