This morning, after a courageous battle with cancer, we said goodbye to our husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Randy passed away on Thursday, April 27th, 2017 at the age of 55. Beloved husband of Lina. Loving father of Krista (Dan) and Michael (Jess). Lovingly remembered by grandson Brock. Dear brother of Jeff and his wife Lisa. Predeceased by his parents Joan and Dan Tureski. Loving son-in-law of Nicky and Ed Babin and brother-in-law to Daryl Babin. Randy will be missed by his cousins, aunts, uncles, his firefighting family and his many friends. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, May 1st from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 2nd from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH (91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby) on Wednesday, May 3rd at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Reception to follow at Iroquois Park Sports Centre, 500 Victoria St. West, Whitby. Memorial donations to Lakeridge Health Foundation – Cancer Care or Hearth Place would be appreciated.

The family of Platoon Chief Randy Tureski along with the Town of Whitby Fire and Emergency Services Department invite family, firefighter friends and the community to celebrate the life and dedicated service of Randy Tureski.

Time: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Firefighter Parade Procession

Date: Wednesday, May 3

Time: 9:45 a.m.

The firefighter parade procession will begin at Garden Street and Manning Road. The procession will travel eastbound on Manning Road, turn right onto Ribblesdale Drive and conclude at Holy Family Parish.

Time: 10:00 a.m.
