Fire officials listed the cause as undetermined.
A firefighter hurt their hand while fighting the flames and was treated on the scene.
At around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Amherstburg firefighters responded to a blaze on Cowan Court off Whelan Avenue.
When they arrived, the home was engulfed in flames, causing an estimated $1.6-million of damage.
No one was hurt in the Amherstburg fire.
