Here’s a way to help you digest some information- serve it up with food!

The Carleton Place Fire Department is hosting an Open House BBQ at 15 Coleman Street on Saturday, September 28th from 10:00AM to 1:00PM.

The event commemorates Test Your Smoke Alarm Day.

It’s an opportunity for residents to meet firefighters, see their tools and equipment, and enjoy a hot dog.

There’s even try a fun obstacle course for the kids.

September 28th is Ontario’s Test Your Smoke Alarm Day!

In response to 133 fire fatalities Ontario suffered in 2022 – the most in 20 years – Test Your Smoke Alarm Day was launched to encourage all Ontarians to learn more about smoke alarms.
