Residents of an Orillia apartment building were forced to evacuate Thursday afternoon after emergency crews were called about a fire in one of the units.
Firefighters arrived at the West Street building around 3 p.m. to find the unit full of smoke.
Orillia’s fire deputy chief says crews quickly cleared the situation.
No injuries were reported. The unit sustained minor smoke damage.
Everyone has since returned to their apartments.
Officials say no charges will be filed.
