The City of Quinte West, along with several agencies, took part in an emergency preparedness exercise Wednesday at County Farm Centre on Hamilton Road.
The city activated its Emergency Operations Centre in response to an emergency scenario involving hazardous materials.
Officials with Quinte Health, County Farm Centre, students from Loyalist College and numerous city departments were part of the exercise.
Quinte West Deputy Fire Chief Rick Caddick says these types of mock events help all the organizations improve skills and learn from each other.
