Welcoming heroes and hounds.
The Ontario SPCA in Muskoka recently opened the doors to local firefighters for a special visit that left tails wagging and hearts full.
Fire officials from the Bracebridge Fire Department stopped by for the day to spend some quality enrichment time with the centre’s newest fuzzy residents, a lively litter of six medium-to-large mixed breed puppies.
The visit was filled with playful interaction, cuddles and spectacular photos. “The puppies had a fun time meeting you, and a big nap after they left,” shared members from the Muskoka centre.
The Bracebridge Fire Department had the honor of naming the small pups. The names they chose reflect the brave and fiery moments of their profession: Rigs, Chief, Ash, Blaze, Flint, and Ember.
All six of the dogs are now available for adoption. For more information, or to arrange a visit, call the Ontario SPCA Muskoka Animal Centre or find them online.
OSPCA encourages the community not only to adopt, but to get involved. Volunteers play a vital role in the day-to-day care of animals, and their ongoing support helps ensure every animal receives the love and attention they need, shared the the Muskoka OPSCA.
