CLANDEBOYE – A house in Clandeboye — a hamlet roughly one kilometre west of Lucan — was destroyed by fire Tuesday morning.
No injuries were reported in the Clandeboye Drive fire, Lucan Biddulph fire Chief Ron DeBrouwer said.
The fire chief said a resident left the house Tuesday morning to pick up a coffee and, when he returned, the home was in flames. No one was at home at the time of the fire, and there were no pets inside, DeBrouwer said.
The Lucan Biddulph, Ailsa Craig and Granton fire departments responded to the fire, and firefighters are still on scene putting out hot spots in the structure. DeBrouwer said the fire is not considered suspicious.
