Recently, Muscular Dystrophy Canada (MDC) recognized the Ajax Fire & Emergency Services, in partnership with the APFFA, with an award for Fire Department of the Year!
Ajax Fire & Emergency Services and the APFFA has shown support for MDC through their annual Boot Drive for a total of 35 years, and this year, through community support and generosity, they broke their record by raising $26,150.69 with a total of $327,700 raised to date.
Annually, firefighters have helped “fill the boot” to raise funds for those affected by neuromuscular disorders. These funds continue to help with essential research and ensure that those affected receive life-changing treatments and access to care as early as possible.
Ajax Fire and the APFFA will run their next Boot Drive this September to, once again, raise funds to support their charity of choice, MDC, and those affected by neuromuscular disorders.
