Fireground Fitness Through Flowing
Course Description:
In this 4-hour course, you will gain confidence and core strength through flowing water out of 45mm and 65mm nozzles and acting as a back- up person. You will start with three basic positions on your left and right sides, and we will increase the difficulty through repetition and proper techniques until you can flow and duck walk and maneuver with ease. Often times we are given a nozzle with no direction during training and are expected to be comfortable handling it. We will relieve this discomfort to ensure confidence through support and building strength using flowing techniques.
PPE Requirements:
- Minimum Helmet, Gloves, and Steel Toes
- Knee Pads are highly recommended
- Bunker Pants are highly recommended
- Change of clothes – we will get wet!
