Common Passenger Auto Extrication at Night
Course Description:
A four-hour basic auto extrication at night will allow participants to operate, which requires skilled responders and specialized tools. Participants will be instructed on and equipped with hydraulic cutters, spreaders, and stabilizing equipment and will work meticulously in the dark to free trapped occupants. Limited visibility adds complexity, necessitating the use of portable lighting and communication devices for coordination. This will allow participants to be immersed in a challenging environment, avoiding sharp metal edges and hazardous materials. The extraction process demands patience and precision to prevent further victim harm.
PPE Requirements:
Coveralls, Bunker Gear, Safety Glass, Helmets, Safety Boots, Extrication Gloves
