Assistant Fire Chief Ray Stone retiring from the Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services

Assistant Fire Chief Ray Stone will be retiring from the Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services on July 31, 2012. We want to wish him every success and best wishes for a healthy and satisfying retirement.

Chief Stone joined the Chatham Fire Department in 1987 and continued in Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services after amalgamation (1998) in the full time stations. He completed 25 years of service in June. During this time, Chief Stone served as a Firefighter, Fire Prevention Inspector, Fire Prevention Officer and as Assistant Chief of Prevention and Public Education.

“Chief Stone has established himself as a dedicated, professional, competent firefighter and officer. He will be missed for his skill and knowledge in firefighting, his proficiency in the content and application of the Ontario Fire Code, and his strong leadership skills that he contributed to our management team.” Fire Chief Robert J. Crawford.
