CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP ---The Municipality of Cramahe Township is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Burgess as Fire Chief.

The Department and its personnel are front line responders in our community: fire, medical, emergency response, safety training and awareness are all part and parcel of what our exceptional team members contribute. In addition, these dedicated people go above and beyond in so many ways, volunteering ---often without any recognition. ---for the benefit of us all," Mayor Mandy Martin says.

Tim Burgess' background incorporates over 30 years of emergency response experiences within Ontario in various capacities and environments including; electrical emergency response, Industrial Firefighter, Volunteer Firefighter with several Municipal Fire Departments, Nuclear Power Plant Firefighter, MNR Forest Firefighter, and Health & Safety Instructor.
Before recently retiring from OPG, Mr. Burgess spent seven years delivering Health & Safety training throughout all of Ontario and as an Instructor delivering emergency response training to OPG firefighters. He developed a Rescue Planning program specifically for industrial workers who fall while working at heights.
Mr. Burgess has been involved with several volunteer fire departments throughout Ontario, most currently as the Interim Fire Chief with the Cramahe Township Fire Department.
Since 2007, Mr. Burgess has been an active instructor in the Fire Service and Industrial Sector.
Raised on a farm, Mr. Burgess appreciates the needs of the rural community and the direction of a rural Fire Department. In 2006, he graduated from the Ontario Fire College with a Company Officer Diploma and also Training Officer Certification in Ontario. Since then, he has completed numerous professional courses.
