A woman was helped from a home on fire in Port Elgin on Thursday.
Just before 4 p.m., police, fire and paramedics were dispatched to a residential address in the 300 block of Bricker Street, Saugeen Shores police said in a news release.
Saugeen Shores Fire Services and paramedics were able to extract a woman from the second storey of the home and she was transported by paramedics to hospital for further medical assessment, the news release said.
No other people were located in the home and the fire was not considered suspicious at this time, police said.
