Investigators say overheated machinery is believed to have sparked a fire at BiEco Products on Saunders Road in Barrie.
A fire department spokesperson tells Barrie 360 they were called out to the facility, which makes biodegradable paper straws, around 8:30 Tuesday night.
While the flames were contained to the plant, crews have not yet been able to determine the extent of smoke damage to any neighbouring units.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
