It was the end of an in Orillia for one man who was tasked with keeping his city safe for nearly three decades.
As of 8 a.m. Monday, Capt. Glenn Higgins officially hung up his hat as a captain with Orillia Fire and Emergency Services.
Higgins has been a familiar firefighting face in the Sunshine City for 29 years, with about half of that in the role of captain.
Higgins was sent off by a gathering of his colleagues one last time.
