Ontario Fire Marshal investigating fire at Park Rd. S. home in Oshawa

The Ontario Fire Marshal's investigators remain at a burned-out house in Oshawa.

Investigators from the fire marshal's office were at the fire scene at 36 Park Rd. S. on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023. The house caught fire in the early hours of Sunday, Dec. 17 and caused more than $800,000 in damages.

The fire has been extinguished, and no injuries were reported.

Approximately 25 firefighters attended this house fire. The call about the fire came in at 12:44 a.m. Sunday.

"The fire was knocked down relatively quickly," said Jim Lee, platoon chief for Oshawa Fire Services. The fire crew left the scene at 3:45 a.m. Oshawa Fire Services tweeted out a message at 1:43 am Sunday.
