A new home, about to be turned over to its owners, has been heavily damaged by fire in Woodstock.

Woodstock Deputy Fire Chief Trevor Shea told CTV News crews responded to Harding Court shortly after 7:30 a.m. Monday.

He said flames and heavy smoke were pouring from the structure on arrival.

More than two dozen firefighters from all stations were called to the scene and quickly determined no one was inside.

Damage exceeds $800,000.

Investigators are working to determine a cause.
