Members of Tay Township Fire and Emergency Services are set to go door-to-door early next week to share important tips about fire safety.
In a notice sent out this past week, the service informed residents that they can expect knocks at their doors from uniformed firefighters who will be canvassing from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday evening.
The firefighters will be focusing on Waubaushene, Port McNicoll, Victoria Harbour and rural parts of the township, sharing messages about smoke alarm and carbon monoxide (CO) safety.
The township says the goal of the initiative is to connect with residents and help ensure that every household understands their responsibilities under Ontario’s Fire Code.
